PUSD Outdoors
The Community Nature Center (CNC) is a collaboration between PUSD and the City of Prescott. We provide teachers & students with free, standards-based, Park Ranger programs, materials, and adventures at the CNC and other City locations. Our goal is to increase outdoor learning opportunities for all!

Sites and Supplies
Our programs span diverse locations, including the City of Prescott Community Nature Center, all city parks and trails, PUSD schoolyards and classrooms, nearby natural areas, the Prescott National Forest, and educational facilities such as the City of Prescott Wastewater Treatment Plant and Transfer Station. Equipped with a comprehensive outdoor learning curriculum, we provide field science tools, navigation aids, kits for studying soil, water, and species, as well as specimens, models, craft materials, and resources for restoration and service-learning projects, providing PUSD students with immersive environmental education.

Services
Our programs offer Park Ranger-led lessons and educational units, stewardship and civic engagement projects, hands-on ecosystem studies, school-based and offsite field trips, and opportunities focused on student well-being. We support independent site use, provide facilitation services, and offer outdoor curriculum assistance.
